Classes, the Website, and White Rabbits

Well, it has been awhile since we have updated the blog so let’s start by throwing out some news.
First, the new Carmichael Cycles web site is starting to come together one piece at a time and currently has about 15% of our inventory listed, it’s a big store, so do not be disappointed if you unable to find what you’re looking for. You can view it here http://www.bicycleproducts.com/ . As always if you have any questions about what we have in stock, please give us a call and we will gladly let you know if we have it in the shop, remember though, if we don’t currently have any item in stock, we will gladly order it for you at no additional charge when applied to our regular orders.
Second, the new 2012 Fuji’s are rolling in and our new stock on hand is getting larger, this means that all of our 2011’s need to go. To make room, we have drastically reduced the prices on all of our 2011 Fuji, Kestrel and Orbea bikes, making great deals for you.
Fall and Winter Sugoi Clothing is now hanging from the racks but we still a few men’s and women’s shorts, jerseys and jackets leftover from spring and summer and all are marked down up to 50% off. This is a great time to save on cycling clothing and getting a jump on next spring and summer bike-ware.
Last Saturday we held our first in a series of three of “How To” classes that are sponsored by the Sacramento Bike Hikers. Steve led a session of “Bike 101”, where he discussed the nomenclature and workings of the modern bicycle to a crowd of 25 participants. Questions were answered by Steve about chain chatter, mis-shifting and break grab and why it is so important to maintain your bike for your safety and the safety of others. There are two more classes offered, one in November and another in December and everyone is welcome. Please see the “Events” section of our website at http://www.bicycleproducts.com/scheduler/, for times, date and more info on these great opportunities of learning the basics of bicycle repair and maintenance.
